Community involvement
A comprehensive community involvement program identified community issues for this
project. This program was developed to ensure on-going opportunities
for community involvement in the project and included a freecall number
1800 353 670 and this website.
Community information sessions
Two community information sessions were held at the commencement of
the project, at Johns River on the 11th October 2000 and at Kew on the 12th October
2000. The purpose of these sessions was to introduce key members of
the project team, describe the project, provide detail on the program
and provide an opportunity for people to obtain further information
and provide comments.
Community newsletters/community updates
Community newsletters and updates have been distributed during the project.

Community focus groups
The community focus groups played an important role in assisting the
project team to understand local issues and community concerns.
Stakeholder meetings
Stakeholder meetings were held with individual residents, property
owners, community groups and other stakeholders throughout the project.
