The RTA has engaged Arup to assist with community consultation and development of the preferred route option for the project.

The stages of the investigations are shown in the diagram.

Following the display of the environmental assessment report, the RTA will consider community and agency submissions. The proposal will then be assessed by the NSW Department of Planning and considered for approval by the NSW Minister for Planning. If approved by the Minister for Planning, the Chief Executive of the RTA will then decide whether to proceed with the proposal.
